Rep. Glenn: City of Midland awarded grant for water system
RELEASE|July 16, 2021

Rep. Annette Glenn, R-Midland, today said the city of Midland has been awarded a grant to help improve its water infrastructure.

The $15,800 affordability and planning grant will be used for a rate study, including development of a projected multi-year rate plan, according to the agreement between the city and the state. The award is part of the MI Clean Water Plan designed to improve water infrastructure across the state.

Glenn chairs a House budget committee overseeing the Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy.

“Utilizing these resources back home will help the city of Midland protect its residents and environment with clean, affordable water,” Glenn said. “This is a great example of how a state program can benefit our community.”
