State Rep. Ann Bollin of Brighton Township today released the following statement after the Whitmer administration announced it had reached a deal with Republicans in the Legislature and MIOSHA will no longer pursue permanent pandemic rules:

“I called upon the people of Livingston County to share your concerns about the governor’s plan to make the pandemic rules permanent – and you responded in force. The House received more than 5,000 comments objecting to the proposal, which we were able to use to pressure Gov. Whitmer to finally end her endless emergency. I want to thank all of you for taking action. Your voices are valuable, and they’re being heard.

“This is a huge win for anyone who lives, works or does business in Michigan. No longer will MIOSHA be able to impose senseless rules that make criminals out of hard-working people while they try desperately to make an honest living.”
