Rep. Annette Glenn, R-Midland; audio on new child neglect legislation

RELEASE|April 14, 2021

Rep. Glenn talks about her HB 4640, which eliminates an inconsistency in state law that sometimes undermines a court’s ability to step in and protect neglected children. The new bill will add instances of “threatened harm” to the definition of “neglect” – making the definition in neglect cases consistent with other areas of Michigan child abuse law.
